Statement of Intent for the residency at ARTLAB_LCC

My practice moves between painting, sculpture, and performance, rooted in an investigation of inner landscapes translated into material form. I work through layers of colour and gesture, allowing images to emerge from a space where memory, body, and environment intersect, evolving from a strong connection to place and expressive chromatism towards a more fluid dialogue between abstraction and symbolism. During the residency, I aim to deepen this research by expanding my scale and introducing new material tensions between density and transparency, control and release, while further integrating performative aspects so that the act of painting itself becomes a visible, temporal dimension of the work.
